Sometimes we find beauty (hermosedad) in unlikely places. Like the delicate flower of a prickly cactus, God puts obvious contrasts in our lives to help us understand the bigger picture of what He is doing in His world and through His people.
This is the village church. Most Sunday afternoons, Isaac Allan teaches guitar lessons to some youth who then play for their Sunday worship services. Afterward, we enjoyed some lovely coffee and strawberry/cherry tea at the pastor's home.
This is an overhead slide from the church. It is written in Quichua, the native tongue of these village people. Most of them speak both Spanish and Quichua.

First of all, PLEASE find some way to send us more of the pictures you didn't post--your teasing me with this necessarily small selection of shots.
Second, we're all interested to know more about the Quichua. Who are they? culture? language? your experiences.
All formats welcome.
